Le Journal du Dimanche (JDD) has a new format – France
The French Sunday newspaper, le Journal du Dimanche, has changed its format.
Since March 6, JDD has adopted the format "big tabloid”, which may contain up to 64 pages in full color. The model was designed by the London designer Mark Porter (The Guardian and Courrier International). The editorial will focus on the hot news of Sunday and special themes (culture, leisure, lifestyle and sport). The web site will reinforce its treatment in politics.
On March 27th, a Watch Special will be published at the occasion of Baselworld. It is the first time that Le Journal du Dimanche has such a special (4 pages).

2009, Historic year for ELLE – France
Lagardere Active announces record results for its high-end women's weekly magazine ELLE with a French paid distribution of 370’658 copies (+3.8%), the highest score ever achieved in 30 years!
This basic tendency of growth is the result of a priority development strategy to increase newsstand sales, which was successfully implemented four years ago: a change to the publication date, investment in the editorial content and a price decrease.
Since 2005, France Paid Circulation has increased by a total of 47 600 copies (+14.7%)!
