Corriere della Sera is the only newspaper increasing in readership (+3%). This is reconfirming the fact that edition by edition Corriere is reducing the gap in readership from La Repubblica.
Gazzetta dello sport is of course reconfirming its usual leadership position
Free press newspapers are decreasing in readership but CITY is reconfirming its position as second Italian free newspaper and it is also reducing the gap from the first one (Leggo)
A is showing a little growth in readership but even more important is the fact that Grazia is losing readers!
AMICA is growing in readership a while and reconfirming the incredible leading position in the segment!

Relooking of IO DONNA – Italy
IO DONNA is the Saturday supplement to the Corriere della Sera. Launched in 1996, it was the first women's magazine attached to a daily.
From March 27th, IO DONNA has been totally relooked. It was not a forced change, but a natural evolution. Women change along with their tastes and their needs: IO DONNA keeps up with them…
The new image of IO DONNA is the result of a fruitful collaboration along with the visual expertise of famous Art Director, Thomas Lenthal.

Corriere della Sera Magazine becomes again Sette - Italy
From November 26th, Corriere della Sera Magazine will be relaunched with the original name SETTE.
SETTE has been synonymous of innovation: launched in 1987 as the first magazine supplement with a daily newspaper, it revolutionized the Italian publishing arena as it was. And still today, SETTE remains a step ahead of the rest of the news magazine field.
The name SETTE is an immediate reminder that the magazine constitutes a weekly
appointment with the reader.
The tests carried out on readers have demonstrated the evocative power of the SETTE
brand and its popularity.
The magazine will have a large format for a top quality product. The new size will be 235x335mm instead of 202x253mm. Its new quality paper will have more impact on the pictures, advertising pages and content.

Hachette Rusconi (Italy) has some new titles in its portfolio. Here they are:
Yacht Capital, launched in 1990 is a nautical magazine. Published monthly, Yacht Capital reaches the highest segment of the market, elite readers with enormous purchasing power. Most of the readers are men with an average age of 35 y.o.
Watch Digest is published twice a year, April 20th (Baselworld) and December 5th (Christmas). It is a high-class bilingual magazine for collectors and devotees of most expensive watches.
Yacht Charter is a yearly guide for people, who wants to spend time or holidays afloat. It is sold with Yacht Capital.
Yacht Digest is the magazine for people who loves maritime tradition and collects painting and antiques. The readers are medium to high niche. This magazine is published 6x a year.
Yacht Design is specialised in interior design and technology. Published 6x a year, Yacht Design is written in English and translated into Italian.
Crociere is the only Italian magazine devoted to cruises. With a large target, it offers illustrated feature articles on holiday at sea and travels by sea. It is published 5x a year.

ELLE and Marie Claire Italy increase their circulation – Italy
More than a fashion magazine ELLE is a style magazine for the innovative and curious woman with high demands on the quality of life. It is addressed to women with a very strong and positive message: “Wear it your way”.
ELLE Italy has maintained 174’941 copies sold in March 2009 vs 173’354 in the same period of 2008.
Marie Claire Italy offers the unique combination of major features and leading fashion and beauty news. It deals with social issues as well as fashion trends. Marie Claire defends women’s right and highlights serious issues around the world.
Marie Claire is matching this success with a slight increase of its circulation, selling 172’780 copies in March 2009 vs 169’604 copies in 2008.
These two upscale magazines in addition of their circulation, are also keeping their positions as leaders in monthly women’s fashion magazines.

Relooking of Sportweek – Italy
On April 18th, the Italian supplement of La Gazzetta dello Sport “Sport week” has changed its layout with a new format, new heading and new sections.
With a renewed editorial part, which has a large content of sport items, it makes it easy and pleasant to read to the main readers which are male, young and sportive.
Sportweek is the weekly information sport magazine with a circulation of 327’000 copies and a readership of 1’510’000.
